Cleared off in the night and is
much colder this morning, there
was frost in some exposed
situations. I went to the P.O. and to
Fairall's office before dinner
and again after supper.
It seems so much colder that
I brought the horse "Charley" in
from the pasture field and put
him in the stable after sunset.
Harriet & Dora gathered in the
green tomatoes & lima beans.
Edwd brought in many of his
flowering plants and covered up
the others to protect them against
the frost.

Heavy white frost for the first
time. Edwd & i put up a wire fence
across the back part of Mrs Robison's
lot to make a pasture lot for the
"Charley" horse, there being plenty
of good pasture on it and so near
to the stable. Afternoon I went
to the "physicians Club" which met
at Dr Samuel Nichol's in Howard
County. I rode over & back with
Dr Brooke. All members were
present except Drs Green and
Farquhar besides two Howard
Co. physicians as guests Doctors
of Dayton and of
Lisbon
