Clear & Cloudy
Ther. 38o SAT. OCT. 29th, 1898 Wind S.E.
Rather warmer this morning but
still frost. I made "bars" to the
eastern lot we fenced off
for the horse and strengthened the
wire fence with braces & c. Willie
rode down from "Fairfiled" on his
bicycle After dinner Edwd
drove to "Fairfield" for some fresh
pork and back before supper.
I took the horse to the shop and
had one of his shoes tightened
before lunch. Bought some beef
from Wm Cuff. After supper I
went to the store for coal oil
& called at Fairall's office.

Cloudy & Rainy
Ther. 43o SUN. OCT. 30th, 1898 Wind S.E.
It commenced raining last night
about 10. o'clock and continued all
night and most of the today clearing
off towards night. I went to meeting
which was very small in consequence
of yearly meeting being held at the
time in Baltimore. Afternoon Dora
& Edwd took a walk to hunt
mushrooms, and found quite a nice
mess of them. After supper I
walked up to the P.O. & back.
