Clear & Cloudy
Ther. 25o MON. NOV. 28th, 1898 Wind N.W.
Clear & cold this morning, but
became cloudy afternoon and
looks like more rain or snow
tonight. I went to the store and
P.O. & to Fairall's office, where
there was the settlement of a daring
"assault & battery" case.
Sally Ellicott was here to see
Dora. Afternoon I went again
to the store & P.O. Dora & Edwd
went to "Fairfield" again to attend
the unfinished oyster supper
postponed from saturday night
on account of the weather.
Very little if more snow (if the
weather should continue cold)
would make sleighing.

Cloudy
Ther. 32o TUES. NOV. 29th, 1898 Wind SE & N.E.
Cloudy all day & towards evening
it commenced raining and
continued up to bedtime. I walked
to Ashton & back before lunch time
Met sister Harriet there, she having
come out to the store with
Richard Lea's wife. I went to the store
and P.O. & called at A. F. Fairall's.
Towards evening Edward went
{went} up to Henderson's and went
with some of his family & Frank
Robison over into Howard co. to an
entertainment & oyster supper
gotten up by Mrs Patty Hopkins at
"Highland" for benefit of the
Episcopal church there. Mrs H.
having invited Edwd to come and
play some pieces on the piano for
them. It is unfortunate they have
such a disagreeable evening for
their entertainment. Sally Ellicott
called. Dora & Edwd came home from
"Fairfield" before lunch time, having
staid there all night, after the "wind up"
of the oyster supper at "Crowtown".
