Clear
Ther. 30o FRI. 2d, 1898 Wind S.E
Clear & pleasant overhead but
ugly underfoot. I went to the P.O.
and store. Afternoon Willie brought
Fanny & the baby and left them
here, he returning to "Fairfield"
before supper. The wind was S.E.
all day and towards evening it
clouded over & looks like more
rain or snow before tomorrow
morrow morning.

Cloudy
Ther. 37o SAT. DEC. 3d, 1898 Wind N.E.
Cloudy & threatening all day and
rained much of the time. After -
noon I walked to Ashton & back.
Willie & Walter Iddings came to
spend the night with us. I went
to the mill for flour & up to
Henderson's house to borrow a banjo
for Willie who rode to Ashton on
horseback (through the rain) to
set strings for the banjo. After
supper we had quite a concert.
Violin, guitar, banjo & melodeon.
