Went to the store & to Fairall's office
paid him for the tobacco from
Mr Wm E Lewis $1.50. Also paid Barnes
(wheel right) $1.00. Afternoon I
went again to the store. Willie
came towards evening and took
Dora back with him to "Fairfield"
to attend church tomorrow morning.
I went to the mill for corn
meal. I walked to Ashton before
lunch time this morning &
rode back with Wallace Bond
as he went to dinner. Edwd
& Harry Fairall finished putting
up their telegraph wires this
afternoon. Friend Samuel Thomas
is extremely ill & not expected to
live through the night, he is in his
84th year of age & has been "failing"
for some time past.

Clear & bright. Edwd & I went to
meeting which was silent. Friend
Samuel Thomas is still living, but
unconscious and sinking.
Mrs Robison came in after lunch
time for some reading matter.
Afternoon Willie brought Dora
home calling on their way both
at "Eldon" & at "Athelwood". Edwd
went back with Willie to "Fairfield"
to stay all night and help him
catch up with his weaving; of
which he has a great deal on
hand at present. They also
hope to be able to cut ice if
it continues as cold tonight, as
during the past 48 hours.
It is warmer this evening
however.
