Ther. 28o MON. DEC. 12th, 1898 Wind S.E.
Raw & chilly this morning & looks
and feels like snow. I went to the
store & P.O. and did the work at the
stable & c Edwd being at "Fairfield"
still. It commenced snowing
about 2. o'clk this afternoon and
continued up to bedtime but it
is rather "wet snow" sticking to
the trees & other objects, so that
it may not last long enough
to make sleighing, unless it
should grow colder. I went
to the store & P.O. again about
dusk, the snow then was about
3 inches deep.

Ther. 25o TUES. DEC. 13th, 1898 WIND N.W. & S.E.
It was clear during the fore -
part of the day but clouded over
towards evening. F. Cooks sister
Mrs Whitbricht was here for advice
& medicine before dinner.
Afternoon Tom Stabler called
for a short time. Willie & Edwd
came in time for supper.
W went back to "Fairfield".
Friend Samuel Thomas died
last night at about 9. o'clk,
and will be buried tomorrow
afternoon at the meeting house
burying ground. Edwd Easton
cut wood for us this afternoon.
