Clear
Ther. 30o SUN. DEC. 18th, 1898 Wind
Ground covered with white
frost this morning. After
breakfast Edwd drove over to
"Eldon" & brought sister Harriet
to spend the day with us. I
went to see John Oldfield before
meeting & again afternoon.
We had a sermon from Edwd
Farquhar at meeting. After-
noon Willie & Walter came
& spent an hour or two with us.
Edwd took his aunt H back
to "Eldon" before supper.
After supper I went again to
John Oldfield's and removed the
extension weights & c from his leg
there being no possibility of "bony union"
in the fracture of his hip (at his age)
and it was only subjecting him to
unnessesary torture.
