journey of life is to walk a very short one, and I often think the end of mine fully in view. The great business of life most certainly is to be prepared for death and so to number each day, whereforth as though it were our last. The services of God is above the service which confronts with immortal beings - expectants of eternity and that this endless being may be spent is the enjoyment of felicity at God's right hand. Our opportunities render us inexcusable if we neglect them. We have here the most ardent & earnest invitation of the ?????? delivered by devout men. May God grant us a proper use and application of his means thus afforded us. I have nothing to you interesting, beyond the foregoing to communicate. Rachel & Edmund join in the tender of love to you both to Anna & children & to all friends. I wish to hear, through you, of the well-fare of our dear little Martha, and Mr. Cooper's family. I beg of you to write me soon as it is now a very long time since I have heard from you.

With great filial respect & affection
I am your son,
S. ? Kearsley
