strengthen it if requisite. When
you put the syrup to your
cucumbers be sure that it is
quite cold. Cover them close, &
set them in a dry place

Put in a spoonful of rennet
into a quart of milk and set
it near the fire. When ye milk
is blood warm and broken
drain the curd thro' a coarse
sieve now and then break ye
curd gently with yr fingers
& put it into a 1/4 of a pd of
butter, ye same quantity of
sugar, a nutmeg, two Naple
Biscuits grated the yolks of 4
Eggs & the whites of one with
an oz of almonds well beaten
with a sponful of rose
