Towns

The following towns have been established by the Legislature, in the county. The town system of government having been adopted by a vote of the people.

Beloit, township 1 in ranges 10, 11, 12 & west 1/2 of 13, and also the south west 1/4 of tp. 2 range 13.
Centre, township two, and the south half of township three, in ranges ten & eleven.
Clinton, township one, and the south half of township two, in range fourteen and the east half of range fifteen.-
Fulton, township four, range twelve.
Janesville, townships 3, ranges 12 & 13, & north 1/2 of townships 2 in ranges 13 & 14.
Johnstown, township three, range fourteen.
Milton, township four, [in] ranges 13 & 14.
Rock, township two, range twelve.
Union, township four, and north half of township 3, in ranges 10&11.
