Rock river takes its origin in this town on section twenty five, township fifteen, range fourteen from whence it runs [in] east six miles, and then south, receiving Doty's river just before it leaves the country of Fond du Lac. The junction of the stream is considered the head of natural navigation of Rock river.

There are two post offices in Fond du Lac County- at Taycheda and Waupun.

In the eastern range of townships there are [ten] nine small lakes, only two of which are named on the maps- Crooked Lake on Section fifteen township thirteen range nineteen and Long Lake in town fourteen, which is two and a fourth miles long and only a half a mile wide.
