Buchanan, a town laid out on the south side of the Wisonsin river in Iowa County opposite Long Island and the mouth of Pine river (section nineteen town eight range three east) and at the mouth of Mineral Creek.

Buffalo Creek, a small tributary of Sandy Lake from the south east.

Buffalo Lake, an expansion of the Neenah river in Marquette county commencing nineteen miles below the portage and extending eleven and one fourth miles; it s filled with wild rice.

Buffalo River (or Ox River) a small branch of the St. Croix river entering from the east a little below the upper St. Clair Lake, and above the Clearwater River.
