Calumet, a town in Fond du Lac county embracing towns sixteen and part of (south of the reservation) seventeen in ranges eighteen and nineteen. It is but little settled. Lake Winnebago forms its western boundary, and there is much excellent land which will [to] be taken and improved up hereafter [when the improvements around it require].

Calvis's Creek, a small tributary of Lake Michigan four miles south from Manitowoc, so named from one of the persons employed in making the public surveys having accidentally fell into this creek.
