Choaking Creek- a small branch of Rum river coming in from the East, a "long day's journey from the Mississippi".

Cincinnati (New) a town laid out on the Mississippi in Grant County.

City of the Four Lakes- a city laid out on the Fourth Lake in Dane County. In 1843 a law eas past declaring that this city "shall not be taxed any higher than other farming lands of similar quality and in the same state of cultivation in the vicinity"!!

[Clam river-See Shell river].

Clary's Lake ont of the lakes on the portage between the Mauvaise river and the Namakagon branch of the St. Croix. It is ten hundred and seventy five yards from Turtle Lake and four hundred and seventy five yards from Polygonum Lake.

Clauson Settlement- in T. 11 T 14-Dodge Co.

Clear Water River one of the head branches of the St. Croix river from the east entering below Buffalo river.
