Clear River, a tributary of the Mississippi entering above the Grand Rapids [?] yards wide.

Clear River, a branch of the Red Fork of Red River, rising in this Territory and running west into Iowa. It enters the Red Fork thirty miles above its mouth.

Clifton, a town laid out in Calumet County at the north end of Lake Winnebago. A harbor has been constructed here at the expense of the United States, being the only one yet made in Wisconsin.

Clinton a town in Rock county embraced in the following limits begin at the south east corner of the county-thence north nine miles, thence west nine miles, thence south [four] nine miles [thence east one mile thence south five miles], thence east to beginning [beg T1 & S 1/2 S2 in R 14 & E 1/2 R15]. It is mostly prairie watered by Turtle Creek and its tributaries.
