Flambeau (Lac de) a large lake between the Wisconsin and Chippewa river which discharges its waters into the latter, nearly opposite the Courteorville river. There is a trading post established on the north side of the lake.

Fond du Lac Bay, a large bay extending in a south west direction from Lake Superior, and forming the head of that great lake. This name is also applied to several other places.-
