Fontana, a village in Walworth township Walworth County near the head of Geneva Lake.

Fort Atkinson, a fort built in 1832, during the Black Hawk war near the mouth of Bark river in Jefferson county, but soon abdndoned. There is now in its vicinity a considerable settlement.

Fort Crawford situated at Prairie du Chien on the Mississippi immediately above the mouth of the Wisconsin river.

Fort Snelling is situated on the Mississippi nine miles below the falls of St. Anthony and near the mouth of the St. Peters river.

Fort Winnebago is situated at the Portage between the Neenah and Wisconsin rivers in Latitude forty three & three fourths degrees; Longitude welve degrees west from Washington.-P. Office.
