Grassville- In the year 1840 the United States census shows in this town 12 horses, 282 meat cattle, 83 sheep, & 368 swine; In 1839 the crops were 796 bushels of wheat 311 of oats, 60 of buckwheat, 420 of Indian corn and 2,250 of potatotes; 5810 pounds of maple sugar were made and the dairy produce was estimated at $281. There is a grist mill in this town.
