Howard, (Fort) a military port opposite the town of Green Bay at the mouth of the Neenah river. The fort is situated on a slight eminance, commanding a delightful view of the town and harbor.

Howard, a township in Brown county embracing the surveyed "townships twenty three and twenty four in ranges eighteen and nineteen; so much of fractional townships twenty three and twenty four in range twenty east as lies on the west side of the Neenah river and north of the south line of the private claim confirmed to J.B. Laborde, extended westward; so much of the private claims on the west side of the Neenah river as lies north of the said south line of J.B. Labord's claim." Pop. 1842-276
