rapids is twenty four feet and one fourth, in a distance of about two miles. The whole fall is eleven miles including the rapids above is forty seven feet and nine tenths. At the main rapids the river is from two hundred to four hundred feet wide and bordered by steep rocky banks. See Watertown.

Jones river, a small stream that enters Green Bay a few miles south of the Menomonee, running in a south east direction. It is called Black Bass river on some maps.
