Johnstown - In Rock county was established from a part of Janesville
in 1843, embracing township 3 in Range 14. The south part
of Johnstown is occupied by a part of the great Rock prairie
the remainder is but thinly wooded - no streams run through
or in this town, but there are several small ponds of water
the U.S. road leading to Janesville, passes through Johnstown.
