Mequanigo-There were in this town in 1840 as shown by the Census 26 horses, 220 meat cattle, 390 swine & 40 sheep. There were raised in 1839, 2868 bushels of wheat, 4470 of oats 1706 of Indian corn and 3325 of potatoes.
