Mushkee-The Indian name of Mauvaise river.

Muskego Lake-a lake about [four] 3.78 miles long and two miles wide in the south part of Milwaukee County. it discharges its waters through Muskego creek into the Pishtaka. 11 m. circum. Area 3160 acros or within 40 acres of 5 sections.

Muskego Creek, a branch of the Pishtaka about seventeen miles long, the outlet of Muskego and Wind Lakes; it enters the Pishtaka at Waukeesha in Racine county, and affords some water power.

Muskego a town in Milwaukee county embracing the surveyed township five in range twenty; it takes its name from Muskego Lake which lies wholly in this town-Pop. 1840-130.
