*Ottawa, a town established from part of Genesee in Milwaukee County in 1843 comprising the surveyed township No 6 R 17. Bark river runs through its north west corner and the Scupernong takes its rise in the south part of this town; and there are several small lakes near the centre. Along Bark river in this town are some extensive impassable marshes.
