avoiding the rapid of the Neenah, and a survey and estimate has been made by Capt. Cram. The length of the route is 14 miles 580 feet, and a feeder from the north branch of the Manitowoc river nearly two miles in length would be necessary. The summit [le] is 85.51 above Lake Winnebago, and the Manitowoc at the head of the proposed feeder is sixty eight feet above that lake.

Pointe an Sable- a small point or cape extending into the east side of Green Bay five miles from the mouth of the Neenah, and nearly opposite Grass Point on the west side.

Point creek, a small tributary of Lake Michigan in Manitowoc county three miles south of Calvin's creek, and seven miles south of the Manitowoc. It is abou five miles in length.

Polygonum Lake- One of the Lakes on the Portage between the Mauvaise and Namakagon river, lying between the latter
