Poplar river, a tributary of Lake Superior from the north=west, entering next east of Milk river.

Poplar river a tributary of Lake Superior from the south entering the next est of the Amanecon.

Poplar creek. A branch of the Pishtaka in Milwaukee county having a course almost directly opposite that of the river it enters. At the place where the United States road crosses, it is two hundred and forty feet above the level of Lake Michigan. This stream lies on the boundary, between the "timber land" and the "oak openings".

Porcupine Quill River, or Rangers river enters Lake Pepin [a large bend in] [a few miles above the foot] about the middle of the Lake.
