dwellings- Van Buren lies above La Fayette, about in the middle of the "Hollow"; and was laid out in 1838. Two years afterwards it contained forty dwellings, three dry goods stores, one grocery, two hotels, two Blacksmiths shops, two carpenter shops, one tanner, and one tailor shop, a schoolhouse, a post office, a Methodist and Catholic church.- Above Van Buren is another town called Dublin [and] constituting a part of the town of Potosi; [is an] in 1840 it numbered two stores, two groceries, one hotel and one blacksmith's shop and eighteen or twenty dwellings.

Powack Lake- a small lake (about three fourths of a mile in diamter) lying one mile north west of Muskego Lake in Milwaukee county.
