Sutherland, a town laid out on the south side of the [St. Croix] Wisconsin at Prairie du Bay opposite the mouth of the Kickapoo river, where there is an excellent steam boat landing.

[Swan creek, a branch of the Neenah in Portage county].

Swan Lake a lake between three and four miles long and from one half to three fourths of a mile wide in Portage county being an expansion of the Neenah above the Portage at Fort Winnebago. The water is pure, of great depth and abounding in fish.

Swan Lake a lake forming the source of Swan river.

Swan Prairie- a prairie in Walworth county (town two range sixteen) about five miles long and three broad. The town of Delavan is situated near the south side of this prairie.
