Turtle creek a tributary of Rock river, rising in the two Turtle Lakes in Walworth county, and entering Rock river at Beloit where it has considerable fall, affording a valuable water power. It is a beautiful stream bordered by rich bottom lands and rising through the great Rock Prairie.

Turtle Lake, a small lake in Delavan Walworth county forming the source of one branch of Turtle creek, about two and a half miles long and one mile wide [125] 145 people 9 miles & 5 ch. Area 1500 acres or nearly 2 1/3 miles-

Turtle Lake (Little) a lake forming the source of the northern or main branch of Turtle Creek in Walworth County-11.12-13 & 14 T3 R15. Length 7 chains-per 185 ch or 2m 25 ch area 191 acres

Turtle Lake a lake on the Portage between the [Mauvaise?] river of Lake Superior and the Namakagon branch of the St. Croix river. It is two hundred and eighty yards from the [Maiwaise?] and one thousand and seventy five miles from Clary's Lake.
