*Wauwatosa-In 1840 there were in this town agreeably to the census 28 horses, 319 meat cattle, 135 sheep, & 603 swine. The crops in 1839 were 2155 bushels of wheat, 177 of barley, 1720 of oats, 4395 of Indian corn and 8966 of potatoes: 7490 pounds of maple sugar were made. It had one grist mill and two saw mills.

Waupun a place on the U.S. road 18 m. SW from Fond du Lac & 18 miles from Green Lake at the crossing of Doty's river about a dozen families and a saw mill. The first settler here was Mr. S. Wilcox.-33&34 T14 R15
