comes we are doubtfully of Jobs of a superior quality would
command 4d some having been offered so low as 3 3/4 d
of refused at foreign Markets some of the new Crop has
been sold equal to 2 1/2d gold at 3d The French have
not lately made any purchases hard at much in their
power to buy on good terms
We have not heard of any seizure being made of cards
at this port. it is however attended with a good deal
of [?] to help them [?] of the [?] in any of
the Ports of England and fond of meddling with them.
Carriages made in this Country come generally cheaper
than from London, but seldom so neat, but as you
seem to think a second hand one will answer your
Purpose, such a one can at all times be bought
cheaper in London as the People of [?] these are so
often changing them. We shall [?] give directions
in Edinburgh so be on the look out for one to answer
