Bryant / Plows / Ginings / Self / Oats / Self Apple sions /

cold there was 2 young men here last night by the name of
Bryant from Tuskaloocy they were hunting homes to live &
crop it with some one
Richard took the Wagon & braught home three plown that was
layed at the black smith shop in Town. We have lost one of
our best plows taken out from under the office & Gone, the
best one I had. They took one last year Stole. Ginnings
got 4 plow stocks, bull tongs & shovels (new) last Summer &
kept them. (My cold is no better I rested badly)
We have cleaned out & put in the office 20 bushels of Oats
for seed. I went out through the Orchard & Garden with my
gun got verry warm Sweat verry freely, come back lay down
in bed & sweat off, covered up warm had the cramp in my feet
got up at supper drank a warm cup of coffee & have felt much
better from the sweat I took, it has hope me verry much. It
was the sweat.
Richard set out 4 or 5 apple (Sions) trees got of Mr. Maguire
the Logue or Porter apple they call it the Porter apple

1867 March Sun 24 /
The Wind is mostly from the South & is tolerably high tho
colder than usual South wind. Verry clear in the morning
early but is turning a little cloudy. Nothing new.

Mon 25 / Oats / Clover /
The morning is quite cool, the is from N.E. and verry cloudy
Sprinkling rain. We are trying to go to plowing in our Oats
in the old Garden about 3 1/2 Acres & will sow it in Clover. Also
trying to git up our gears chanes &c
