Arnell & Paul Arnell (Col) upon a warrant I had issued agt them for $75.00 for a oxen they had baught of me & had disputed the account but finding I could prove it they would not admit of any witnesses but agreed that Judgt might be entered agt them both for the amt.
Arnell & Paul (Col) Judgt for $75.00 & Costs } Saml L. Arnell agreed that he was only Securety for Paul When Paul told the Sqr & officers and the company that he was acting only for Arnell & his agt in the matter & he says now Arnell makes him principle. Arnell has acted verry mean & ungentlemanly from first to last in this whole matter.
Caleb 1 load Corn } Caleb sent me a load of Corn by Jack Sterling has commenced to get some stocks for lumber to take to Saw Mill for himself to pay him what I owe him
Candles $1.00 } I got 24 Candles $1,00 at Tuckers
William I got a letter from William dated the 11 Inst he was at W. D. Mayes got there in 24 hours from Columbia
Martha he has gone from there to Carrel County & that Martha Jane & her children will be here about 6 or 7 days the time is out & we are looking for them.
