Sun 10 ) last night I hear of the death of old Col. Wm Pillow last
Col ) night he was 87 years old he was a verry remarkable man

Died ) Col Josep Brown also died some 2 or 3 weeks ago he was another
Col Brown ) verry remarkable man they were both in the War of 1812 in the
Creek Nation in 1813 & 14 at the same time I was with them
they were both energetic & men of considerable note & well
thought of by all that knew them. Peace to there Memery.
