Th 4 The morning is quite cold the Ground covered with Snow. The

Wind was high all night but more cold this morning. The boys

Cotton ( Jack & Lawson took there partner ship bale Cotton to Town &
partnership )
Bale ( sold it for near 27 Cents (I got 53 lbs of Sugar (Orleans))

53 lbs ( at 15 Cts ($7.95) pr lb. We settled our Cotton bale money
$7.95 )
I got $45. Jack got $40. & I got $20. of Jack'a 40. Lawson

got 65. dollars This is out of the partner ship bale

Fr 5 The morning is clear & cold Ground froze & yet a little

snow on the ground

Candles We got a box of Star candles 10 lbs 7 1/2 to the lb cost $2.00

We all took our Cotton to Town to day but did not sell braught

it back Cotton had not declined selling at 27 Cents but there

was no buying
