Temp 50 Baro L, 27.80 clear, calm Left camp 7 34 passed through Burdj Ḥêdar 8:08 no stop, arrived Kefr Lâb 8 45 situated on top of ridge unimportant small ruin evidently a small settlement around a convent small church standing tomb and wine presses. Left 9 23 on along ridge on good road to 9 37 Bāṣūfân, an early Muslim grave yard 2 fine trees, a wely, a small Arabic castle built on ancient church, another church, few other ruins, inhabited by some 8 or 10 families Kurds. It overlooks the plain Idj-Djȗmeh to the north Left 11 03 arrived 11 43 Burdjkeh, small church standing & a town with 2 walls standing few other remains in foundation one a small settlement to the N. of road to Aleppo. Left 1 18 going 120° arrived 137 Fāfirtîn small town completely ruined on Aleppo road going down Wadi. Apse of church standing. Left 3 38 arrived Batutā 5 00. Left 5 26 arrived 5 50 Kharab il Meshhed ( Shekh Ibrāhîm )
