I'djâz (36) This large ruin has probably always been inhabited. The number occupants is now very small. The modern houses are full of ancient carved fragments.
Church 429 A.D. - 430 A.D. Well to the N.W. of the town is the ruins of a large church of which the ground plan is easily traced. Details of arches and portals abound in the ruins. The voussoirs of the arches of the S. side lie between the piers of the nave. Each of these arches have a great inscription. Since these inscriptions contain the expression "Holy Apostles" repeated again and again. It seems that this church must have been dedicated to the Apostles.
An inscription on one of the posts of the chancel, two of which are in situ, gives the date 429 A.D. - 430 A.D. The caps of the piers of the nave have each a band of incised ornament.
The cloister court has mouldings on the south and east, and a colonnade was carried along the side, at least, of the court.
