Horticulture met at Fieldhead September 3. Although there were fewe exhibits, reflecting the status of members gardens, the green thumbs of the hosts was evident in both flower and vegetable gardens. The magnolias and sour wood trees cintinue to be speial features at Fieldhead.

The Vice President, Robert Miller, presided in Jack Bentley's absence. After approval of the minutes of the last meeting, plans for the centennial meeting in October at the Community House were discussed.

The list of invitees, earlier given to the Secretary, was read, and to it were added the names of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lansdale, and John Bancroft. Douglas announced that the Achesons would be in London and would be unable to come. The invitation were approved and the Secretary was asked to send them out the folllwing week.
