Burksville Ky June 20th, 1835

To His Excellency Governor of the State of Tennessee The Enclosed documents were confided to me by Mr. William Beard of this County, at whose request the same are forwarded to you urging the necessity from the nature of the case a speedy action thereon, And that the necessary process from you on the Executive of Tennessee Will be without delay fowarded to him at Jonesborough Tennessee Where Mr. Beard will be and expects to find the person accused of the felony - And will be there only waiting for the power from you to bring them to justice in Kentucky - And he hopes the subject will meet with your prompt attention, - Yours &c Hiram S. Emerson
