A good day. Jim is at on [sic] the tobacco. Henry went to drive the horses up this morning and Pomp kicked him. Did not hurt him very bad. We are all so glad it is no worse.

Ben went to Cedar Forest this morning a bout the school work. Mrs Car come with him home. I am glad that she came to see Josie.

This evening Henry & Reese and I went to White Falls and I fished. The children played. Jim cut some corn this evening.

Carrie & the children come down here a while this evening. Jack Harvey eat supper here tonight and will stay at the barn tonight.

A good day. Ben went to look for Sl[??]. Jim went to the barn.

Josie was sick this morning. I got a snack for dinner.

Josie & Ben all the children went to Jim Powers this evening. Marvin & Carrie and all the children and I went to John Emersons this evening. Sarah & the children was at home. They went for John. Mr & Mrs ?asor come there. I was glad to see them. I am glad that John & Sarah are doing as well as it seems that they are. The children all seem to be nice & polite. I certainly do wish them all well. Fanny is at school.

A good day. Rain tonight. It is badly needed. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco all day and they are at the barn tonight tieing tobacco.

Mr. Owen went to the island for guano. Josie and I got dinner. Kate Harvey eat dinner with us. I was glad to have her with us. Josie walked with her as far as Marvins. Henry and Edna went to school to day, the first day of this term.

Tom Edmons went to South Boston with tobacco this morning. I got a letter from Fannie Emerson. Was glad to get it. I am always glad to hear from any of the folks that is a way from home.

A beautiful day. Jim & Ben stripped tobacco. Owen loaded some on Mr Mayhews truck to day. They are going to South Boston.

Mollie and Christenia Reynolds come a little while to day. Mrs Owen & Mrs Dews come a few minutes this evening. Mrs Car washed dishes for me today and that was a big help.

I washed the babys flanels this evening.

Jim & Ben went to the barn to nigh to tie tobacco.

I have wrote a letter to Letcher Craddock to night.

A cloudy day. No rain to do any good. The men worked on tobacco. Ben went to Mr Bailis this morning. Jim Moon carried him. They went to see a bout getting a school. Also went to Gretna to see tobacco solde.

I went to Marvins a little while this evening. Carrie was mending overalls. She was complaining of rheumatism in her knee.

Rees brought me 10 eggs to night.

Franklin staid at Marvins all day. Henry & Edna went to school.

Ben & Jim went to the barn to night and have not come back yet.
