Friday June 10, 1921
A beautiful day. The boys replanted tobacco and sowed peas. Lizzie got dinner. She had potatoes and peas for dinner. Alma sowed some. I mended two shirts for the boys. I cut some clover for Lizzies cows. I had rather do something like that than set all the time.
Alma had a note from John this morning. He will not be at home Sunday.
Oh how bad I want to know a bout them at home. Want to see them all at home and of the rest of them.
Monday June 27, 1921
A good day. Ben carried John to Gretna. Julia & Edna and Franklin and Mabel went with them. Ben did not stay long. Then he plowed in his tobacco. Jim plowed some and then mowed hay. Them and Marvin have gone to the school house to hear speakin to night.
Josie planted some pepper this morning then got dinner. This evening she gathered some black berries and went to Marvins.
I got breakfast and milked the cows & fed the chickens and churned. Cut some quilt peices and went to Marvins. Come home. Fed & milked. Brought two buckets of water.

Friday, April 7, 1922
A cloudy day no rain. Ben & Jim worked in the orchard cleaning up. Henry went to school. Edna had a colde & did not go.
Josie & I ironed all the morning. Josie got dinner.
Kate Harvey came a few minutes this morning would not stay for dinner. Ben planted some vines at the porch this evening Henry went to [Renan] late this evening and got some fish. He come home sick. Hope he will be well by morning. I milked Lady cow tonight.
Saturday, June 3, 1922
A good day. The Boys replanted Tobacco all day Ben went about [Sun?] to [R?] carried the three last children with him he left them at Kate Harveys and even to [G?]. He bought some fish we have dressed them it is now near midnight Josie has suffered a lot today Virginia has [?] here today/ She helped me a lot She ironed some and baked a cake The pen that I am writing with is a lead one and I can hardly see.
