To Brasso-Cattleya × Cliftonii (B.-C. Digbyano-Mossiae × C. Trianaei, Uplands var.) (votes, unanimous), from Messrs. Charlesworth, Hayward's Heath. Flower formed like B.-C. × Digbyano-Mossiae, but much larger, silver-white tinged with lavender, the fringed lip having purple markings at the base.

Award of Merit.

To Dendrobium Coelogyne striatum (votes, unanimous), from Mr. H. A. Tracy, Twickenham. Flowers yellow, striped with claret-red; lip blackish-purple. (Fig. 131.)

Cultural Commendation.

To Mr. Hunter, gr. to his Grace the Duke of Marlborough, for Vanda coerulea, with four spikes of flowers.

To Mr. H. Ballantine, gr. to Sir H. Schröder, for Cypripedium insigne Sanderianum with ten flowers.

Other Exhibits.

His Grace the Duke of Marlborough (gr. Mr. Hunter): Cattleya × 'Fabia,' Blenheim variety, and C. Trianaei blenheimiensis.

[Mr. G. E.] Day). A very fine form with large magenta-rose flowers with rubycrimson lip. The specimen bore two spikes of four and five flowers respectively.

Award of Merit.

To Cypripedium × Leeanum 'Corona' (insigne var. × Spicerianum) (votes, unanimous), from G. F. Moore, Esq., Chardwar, Bourton-on-theWater (gr. Mr. Page). A fine form with a large white dorsal sepal, bearing some purple lines and a green base.

To Cypripedium × 'Stephanos' (Pollettianum × œnanthum superbum) (votes, unanimous), from the Rev. J. C. B. Fletcher, Mundham Vicarage, Chichester. Upper sepal white, with a green base and some feathered purple lines; petals and lip yellow, heavily tinged with brownish-purple.

The Hon. Walter Rothschild, M.P. (gr. Mr. Dye), sent Cattleya × Germania inversa.

Francis Wellesley, Esq., Westfield (gr. Mr. Hopkins), sent several new hybrid Orchids.

Leopold de Rothschild, Esq. (gr. Mr. Hudson), showed the white Vanda cærulea albens.

Major G. L. Holford, C.I.E., C.V.O., Westonbirt (gr. Mr. Alexander), showed the fine white Cattleya labiata Amesiana with five flowers on one spike.

J. Bradshaw, Esq., Southgate (gr. Mr. Whitelegge), sent Odontoglossum × ambile Charlesworthii.

From the Royal Horticultural Society's Gardens, Wisley, four forms of Cypripedium × Euryades were shown.

W. M. Appleton, Esq., Weston-super-Mare, sent Cypripedium × Leeanum Appletonianum.

M. Chas. Maron, Brunoy, France, showed two white forms of Cattleya × Fabia.

M. Mertens, Ghent, staged a small group.

First Diploma: To Cypripedium Fairrieanum, dark variety (Sander).

Cypripedium Fairrieanum (hybrids).

First diploma: To Cypripedium 'Germaine Opoix,' 'Westfield var.' (C. × 'Madame Coffinet' × C. Fairrieanum), from Francis Wellesley, Esq. (gr. Mr. Hopkins). The fine hybrid which secured a F.C.C. November 6.

To Cypripedium × 'Baron Schröder' punctatum (œnanthus superbum × Fairrieanum), from Francis Wellesley, Esq.

(gr. Mr. Alexander). Flowers partaking strongly of C. granulosa, green with whitish, distinctly trilobed lip which is striped with purple, and has both the front and side lobes fringed.

To Cattleya × 'Maggie Raphael' alba (Trianaei alba × Dowiana aurea) (votes, unanimous), from Major G. L. Holford. Sepals and petals white, lip rose-crimson veined with gold.

To Phaio-Calanthe × Colmanii Phaius × ('Norman' × Calanthe Regnieri Stevensi) (votes, unanimous), from Jeremiah Colman, Esq., Gatton Park (gr. Mr. Bound). Flowers white with a slight green tint on the sepals, and a few purple lines at the base of the lip.

Other Exhibits.

Francis Wellesley, Esq., Westfield, Woking, showed Cypripedium Aeson giganteum in fine condition, and other hybrids.

Major G. L. Holford showed several new hybrids.

De B. Crawshay, Esq., sent Odontoglossum crispum Poultoni and O. × 'Queen Alexandra.'

J. Wilson Potter, Esq., sent Laelia cinnabarina × Jongheana.

Mr. H. A. Tracy showed Cypripedium xanthimum (Leeanum × insigne variety).

Messrs. Hugh Low & Co. staged a group.

Messrs. Heath & Sons, Cheltenham, showed hybrid Cypripediums.

J. Gurney Fowler, Esq., sent Cypripedium × 'Ernest Read' (parentage unrecorded).

Messrs. Linden, Brussels, showed two beautiful blotched forms of Odontoglossum crispum raised from seeds.

M. Jules Hye de Crom, Ghent, sent Cypripedium × Lathamianum primatum.

M. Mertens, Ghent, showed various Orchids.

Messrs. Sander & Sons sent three fine forms of Vanda Sanderiana.
