To the Honorable Mayor, Board of Aldermen and House Delegates of the City of Seattle Gentlemen:- We the undersigned petitioners, residing on and in the vacinity of Depot Street and Fifth Streets, would most respectfully represent that Fifth Street, between Depot Street and Vine Street, is in a very bad condition, rendering it almost impassible for travel and we earnestly request your Honorable bodies to plank the West side of said Fifth Street from Depot Street to Vine Street, a distance of one block and your petitioners will ever pray.

The undersigned, citizens and taxpayers of the City of Seattle respectfully petition your honorable body to erect and maintain electric arc lights at the following places on the streets of this city, to wit

Corner of South Fifth (5) Street and Jackson Street Corner of South Sixth (6) Street and Jackson Street Corner of South Fifth (5) Street and Main Street Corner of South Fourth (4) Street and Washington Street Corner of South Second (2) Street and Washington Street Corner of South Third (3) Street and Washington Street Corner of South Third (3) Street and Main Street Corner of South Third (3) Street and Jackson Street Corner of South Fourth (4) Street and Jackson Street

Your petitioners deeming said lights necessary to the comfort and convenience of the citizens of this city. And your petitioners will ever pray etc.

To the Mayor And Common Council of the City of Seattle We the undersigned property holders on Jackson Street in the City of Seattle ask your Honorable Body to place a sewer in Jackson Street from eleventh Street to tide water at fifth street. The property holders on said street have no means of sewage whatever - and the lots and street are full of sess pools which we consider very bad for the Health of the inhabitants on said Street and city likewise - at the present time several new dwellings are being erected and no means of sewerage S.S. GENTLEMEN: Your Committee on Sewer's and Drainage to whom was referred Petition of A.S. Miller and others for a Sewer on Jackson Street from Eleventh Street to tide water at Fifth Street beg to report that the Petition be granted and that Sewer be put in as soon as possible as said locality is in a very unhealthy condition from overflowing cess pools and other nuisances

Would respecfully (request?): that the private (Sewers?) of property Owners on the East Side of Fifth Street between Cherry Street and James Streets Empty on said Fifth Street thereby creating an offensive pool, which can be (remedied?) only by Your Hon.. body causing the main Sewer (now? begun?) on said streets to be continued to said Cherry Street, wherefor your petitioners pray that your Hon body Cause said Sewer to be finished from the end therof on said Fifth Street to said Cherry Street, and (your?)
