Julia Brumfield Diaries

A good day. Ben and family went to Rob Hubbards. Paul went with Marvin to Sunday School. He eat dinner at Marvins. Paul and Frank Blair went some where on Georges car. George and Denia was at Marvins this evening. Ren Worsham and family was at Marvins. Nat Wooding and family and Miss Alice Wooding was there two.

I staid at home til three oclock then I went to Marvins. I had bakers bread and cheese for dinner. Carrie sent them to me.

9:10 oclock

A good day. Ben & Josie staid at home all day.

We fried chicken for dinner and had berrie pie.

Henry went to Mags this evening. Edna went with Marvin to Sunday School and to Ren Worshams.

I went to see Posies baby. She is not well. The dr was to see her Friday. I do hope she may get well soon.

Jim & Alace Thomson and the children was at Johnsons this evening.

10 oclock

A good day. Ben & Edna & Josie and Franklin went with Mrs. Car home at Mr Powers. Henry went with Uncle Marvin to Sunday school at Strait Stone church. He come home and we eat our dinner. Then Henry went to Marvins. Reese & Paul Smith and Henry Brumfield went to Mag Brumfields.

I went to the sweet potatoe patch and dug a basket full of sweet potatoes & washed them this evening. I churned and gathered some snaps & strung them.

I went to Marvins a while this evening. Willie Mayhew was here this morning to look at Bens tobacco.

9 oclock

A good day. We all staid at home until after dinner, then Ben & Jim went sloes hunting. I went to Mr Edmons's. Mr. & Mrs. Peak was there. Miss Alice and Miss Willie Wooding come over there.

They had plenty of grapes at Edmons's.

Marvin and Carrie went to see Dr Wiggonton & Pearl this evening.

Rees & Smith & [?] and Emet Brumfield come here this evening.

Henry and Edna went to Sunday School to day. Marvin carried them.

Jim Brumfield went with Reese Smith home tonight to stay a little while.
