A cool day for this time of the year. Ben and Josie and Paul Bennett went to Strait Stone to preaching.

Henry and I staid at home. Gladis and Hugh Brumfield come. Kate and Irvin Harvey come. They were here for dinner I was glad that Kate come. She had not bin here in a long time be fore.

I went to Willie Mayhews to an ice cream party. The cream was fine I did enjoy it so much. I come home on Mr Bob Starkeys car was glad of the ride. Heard that Nannie Reynolds has a girl born to day.

A bad day. There was more snow on the ground than had bin this winter. It is all gone to night.

Josie ironed this evening.

Jim & Ben went to Renan this evening. Mr. Owen & Board Dews went to Mr. Jessie Mays sale. Marvin Smith bought Kate Harvey two pigs to day. He bought them from Robert Starkey. I am so glad that he could get them.

Franklin is sick I am afraid. He is so cross.

Henry did not go to school to day.

A good day. Ben & Marvin hunted some. Bruce Reynolds come to see Thelma & Mary. They went with him home and staid a while.

Josie & I got dinner. We had two ducks for dinner. They were fine. I killed and dressed a turkey today. Ben & Thelma & Mary has gone to Bob Starkeys to a party to night.

Bruce & Clifton and Jane Reynolds went to Mrs Gravelys this evening.

A cool windy day. Ben sawed stove wood this evening. He broke his saw and borrowed Mr Bob Starkeys to saw his wood. Mr Woodall and Reese Smith helped him. They had preaching at Strait Stone this evening. Marvin went for the preacher.

Josie baked rools for supper. I have staid at home all day today. I am a fraid that the frost will kill all tender things tonight.

A cloudy day no rain. To night the wind is blowin. The men cut wood in the woods. Josie got dinner this evening. Bob Starkey got his car stuck in the mud at the mail box. Mrs Starkey come in a few minutes.

I went to Carries a little while to night. Louise Hutcherson is here. They are playing cards. We heard today that Mr Allen is very bad off. To night Ben spoke in a way that hurt me. I give them nearly all of my time & strength and they don't respect me.
