A good day. Ben & Jim and Henry worked in the tobacco all day. Ben sprayed some of his. Josie cand a few tomatoes this morning & got dinner. I got breakfast and milked the cows. Carried the milk to the spring and brought the milk that was ready to churned. Fixed the churn and churned. Carried some of the milk to the spring then dug bait. That is a big job now. Reese carried me and Paul & Roy to White falls. I caught a few fish. Come by Renan. Reese bough two sacks of salt[?]. Otie Kellie and Howard Strange was at the store.

A beautiful day. The men worked in the tobacco all day. They say that the worms are very bad.

Josie caned six cans of corn and tomatoes.

This evening Ben carried Josie, Edna, & Franklin and Mabel to Mr Jim Powers to see Mrs Fletcher Car & children. Ben said he did not get out of the car. I know he did not stay long any where. Tonight Ben & Henry has gone after them.

I sent 8 chickens for Miss Anna Hubbard.

Have ironed some this evening.

A clear dry day. Jim & Ben cut tobacco. Marvin helped them. Josie washed this morning and caned three cans of tomatoes this evening. She made Edna a gown. Edna is proud of her new gowns.

I went to Marvins a while. Carrie was sewing. She has done a lot of sewing for her children. I dont see how she does as well as she does with so many to do for.

Johnson Reynols come a while this evening. He said Bruce was helping his mother can tomatoes this evening. Some of them should her for she needs help.

The calf got in the corn field this evening. Josie got him out.

A good day. Cloudy this morning but no rain. Ben & Henry helped Marvin cut tobacco. Jim fired his all day and part of tonight. Josie gathered two baskets of tomatoes this morning and Jim brought them to the house. I helped peel them. Josie put up 24 quarts.

I went to Marvins this evening. Norman Booker sowed him a turnip patch in the garden this evening. I cant get use to the idie that Booker is going to come there. I most shurely hate to think that Marvin & Carrie is going to leave.

A clear warm day. Not a cloud in sight. The wind is blowing tonight. Jim helped Marvin today. Ben did not. Josie has bin bad off all day. She is not suffering so bad tonight. I hope she will soon be up a gain. Mrs Edmons & Grace Brumfield and Kate Harvey come to see her today. Ben went for Mrs Car this morning. She was gone to Lynchburg. He has gone there after her. They have not got here yet. I am sorry that the wind is blowing so hard. I have not bin to Marvins this week. Hope Josie may be well enough that I can go soon. Henry & Edna went to school to day. Mabel has bin good for her.

I started Alma Bennett a letter today. Would be glad to hear from Willies folks.
