Monday, August 11, 1919
A good day. Ben & Edwin finished covering the barn this morning. They commenced to cut tobacco this evening. They cut for Mr. Owen. John & Christenia come back this evening.
Josie got dinner and starched some clothes. I cut some cucumbers and gathered some tomatoes. We canned some tomatoes this evening.
Josie went to Marvins this evening. Kate Harvey was there. I want to see Kate.
The boys are all gone to Strait Stone tonight.

Tuesday, August 12, 1919
A rainy day most of the time. Ben & Jim & Owen finished cutting a house of tobacco. John & Edwin work on the barn.
Josie & I got dinner. I caned a few tomatoes. I went to Marvins this evening. Mollie Reynols gave us some peaches. Paul Bennett went after them.
I helped Carrie peel her fruit & then helped Josie peel hers.

Wednesday, August 20, 1919
A good day. Jim & Ben cut a house of tobacco for Jim.
Josie got dinner. She had snaps and chicken, potatoes. Nellie made some preserves of damson that Mrs Edmons gave her.
This evening Miss Tredway and Miss Creasy & Tucker come to see Evylin. Did not stay but a few minutes.
Nellie & Josie gathered snaps and tomatoes for tomorrows dinner.
Carries baby is sick. I do hope that she will soon be well. Tonight Henry went to the barn by him self after dark. Edna has a bad colde tonight. Hope she may soon get over it.
I got a basket of sweet potatoes for Franklin. Brought them home & washed them.
Clock not runing.
Thursday, August 21, 1919
A good day. The men folks moved some tobacco & cut some for Mr. Owen.
Jim & Ben will stay at the barn tonight. Henry is with Jim now. Edna is bad off with colde. Carries baby is not well.
Josie got dinner with a little help. Nellie caned some tomatoes this morning. This evening she went to Mr. Woodings and got some grapes. Miss Willie Wooding & Miss Annie Carter come with her home on a buggy.
I went to George Blairs. Lottie Craddock & her little baby is over there. Miss Alice Hubbard & Ada Hutcherson and Susie Hutcherson was there. They had water mellons & peaches and grapes.

Friday, August 22, 1919
A good day. Ben & Mr Owen cut tobacco all day. Jim staid at the barn. Jim & Ben and Henry went to the barn tonight to stay all night.
Nellie made some jellie this morning. Josie got dinner.
Evylin come from Kate Harveys this morning. Jack was here this evening. wanted a horse. Could not get one as they were at work.
Two pedlars came by here this evening.
Josie & Nellie went to Marvins this evening.
Carries baby is not well. Edna & Franklin has bad colds. Hope they will be well soon.
