The men folks worked on tobacco land.
Josie washed.
I got dinner. Marvin carried Denia and I and Ren Worsham to Mr Jessie Worshams pond. I caught some minners. When I got home Josie had milked the cows and she got supper.

Saturday, July 6, 1918
A good day. Ben worked on Tom Edmons's car most all day. Paul carried Denia Blair and I to Worshams pond. We come home for dinner. To night we went to the school house to see a play. Henry has bin sick all day.

Wednesday, October 2, 1918
A good day. Ben carried Henry and I to Worshams pond to fish. We did not catch anything but minnows.
We walked from the pond to the union mens lodge there. Ben met us. We come by Strait Stone. Josie and the children was with Ben. Nearly all the Blairs are sick and Hazel Smith is yet sick.
I left this book at Letcher Craddocks got it home this evening.

Monday, August 25, 1919
A good day. Ben & Jim moved some tobacco.
Josie got dinner. She baked pies. Evylin & Edna and I went to Worshams pond. Josie fixed our dinner. We went on a buggy and drove Jake, Bens horse. Nellie caned some tomatoes. Denia & Kate come to see us this evening.
I am sorry that I was not at home.
Nellie dug some sweet potatoes.

Friday, September 12, 1919
A good day. Ben carried Henry & Reese and I to Worshams pond. We did not catch anything.
Jim helped Marvin fix up his shelter this evening. Marvin come after us. Met us at Mrs Storks. Carrie & the girls was with him.
Ben painted at Owens this evening. Come home & washed and set down. His chair sliped and he fell & hurt him self right bad.
Kate was here this evening. I did not see her.
