A good day. Paul and Owen Josie and I and the children finished stripping Pauls curing of tobacco this morning and commenced on Bens.

Josie come home to get dinner. She fried chicken and baked cocoanut pies. A bout twelve Gordon and Alma and Ola and Frances Bennett come for dinner. After dinner Bruce Reynolds and his mother come a few minutes. I was glad to see them all. Ben sowed wheat most of the day. This evening Nat Wooding phoned for Ben to come to Reynolds mail box and help him work on his car. Ben went. They could not fix it. They brought it here. Sidney Reynolds come after Nat and carried him home.

Paul finished sowing wheat. Mollie gave me a nice box of candy a birth day present. Marvin Smith paid our taxes this evening. Paul and Ben has bin at the barn to night hangin and putting tobacco in the pit.

A good day. Some clouds this morning but no rain here. Ben finished cutting wheat at Marvins and at home.

Josie has had the tooth ache all day. I got dinner.

This evening Marvin let Paul Bennett carrie me & Henry to White Falls. We come with Robert Reynolds as far as Renan. Paul brough me home.

Gordon and Frances and Earl & Lizzie Bennett come down here this evening. Lizzie is with us tonight.

Henry and I had a good time if we did not catch many fish. Robert stopped at Alice Thomsons and got the ice cream freezer.

I had two invatations from the grand children to be at their graduations, one in Chatham and one in Richmond.

Ben and Josie went to Renan tonight.

A cloudy day. No rain to do any good. Lizzie Bennett got dinner. I mended some overalls. Alma ironed some cloth this morning. Gordon & Frances and the boy come over here this evening. I walked to the garden this evening.

I got a note from home this morning. I was glad to get it. They said Mabel was some better when they wrote. I do hope that the children will keep well and all of the rest of them. I feel anxious a bout them all and my self two. I hope my leg will soon be well.

A good day. Tim & Gordon & Lonnie went to Whittles to preaching. Lizzie & Alma and Frances and I staid at home. The preacher come with them from Whittles to dinner.

This evening Tim & Gordon & Lonnie & Lizzie and I went to Dr Meases to Lee Tenia and all the rest of them. They have a nice house. I was glad to get to go. There is a entertainment at Oak Grove church. I could of gone but did not want to go so Alma and Lonnie went.

Earl Bennett went to Renan this morning.

A clear hot day. Lonnie & Earl tried to cut wheat today but the binder would not work. Gordon and Frances eat supper with home folks to night. Lonnie and Earl are in the hayfield now, nine oclock at night.

Earl saw Oscar Brumfield going to Chatham this evening for repairs for the binder. I do hope that they got them.

Well I would like to be at home tonight. Every one is as kind to me as they can be but I have bin gone long enough for this time.
