A good morning. We all staid at home. Nellie & Evylin come this morning. Mr Tup Walker brought them. Kate Harvey & Carrie Smith and the little children come a little while. Jim & Ben went to the creek. Had to hurry back on account of a cloud. We have had the hardest rain I most ever saw. The branch is as high as I ever saw it. Washed the fence a way below the spring. Oh I am so sorry a bout the high water.

Evylin is playing the piano.

A good morning. Rain this evening and tonight. The branch has bin out of the banks and washed a way the foot bridge the third time in the last month.

Ben & Jim & Owen plowed in their tobacco this morning.

Nellie made preserves and caned berries all the morning.

Josie got dinner. I milked two cows and Josie one. She helped me milk.

Wren Worsham carried me & Henry and Isla Blair to Worshams pond to fish. I caught 4 small carp. I was glad to get them. We got back as far as George Blairs before it rained. George Jr brought us home. I am glad that they are so good to me. I eat dinner with Wren & Isla at a good spring on the hill.

Suiter? Blair and wife & son come to George Blairs this evening. I wanted to see Denia but she was at Ethels. I milked the cows after supper.

A rainy day. We could not get any water out of the spring that would do to use until nearly night. The men folks cant do anything in the crop.

Ben went to Mr Dews to play croquet. It rained so hard that they had to quit.

We had fried chicken for dinner. Did not try to get vegetables.

Josie sowed some. Made Henry a shirt. Nellie worked some button holes in Franklins clothes. Henry & Edna went to George Blairs this evening. They are trying to learn to recite some pieces.

A bad day. Ice on the ground and trees. It has thawed some today. Jim & Ben worked on tobacco all day. Ben milked for me this morning. Josie got dinner and supper. She baked a cake and cooked beans. I ironed some and mended some and set by the fire.

Heard this morning that Mrs Marsali fell on the ice and hurt her arm badly. I am afraid to go on ice much. I went to the spring and hen house and watered the calf to day. Did not fall.

Mr Owens baby is very sick. The dr went to see him tonight. I am sorry for any one to be sick any time and this is such bad weather. An oil tank come in here today. The roads is so bad that no one is going much.

A beautiful day. Ben & Jim put the canvas on the plant beds to day. They cut some trees at the spring for wood. Josie got dinner. She baked some nice pies.

Josie and the children and I went to Marvins a little while. Carrie was washing. She quit. Will finish in the morning if nothing happens. She come with us to the turnip patch and cut salit. Josie made Franklin a suit to day.

There was a big frost this morning.
